F A B CAT ‘A’ MARINE MEDICAL KIT FROM OCEAN SAFETY
03/04/08
Ocean Safety have just introduced a new Category A Medical Kit into their range, for vessels needing to fit within the MCA’s MSN 1768 coding. Each kit is packed in a robust paramedic style bag for easy use and is delivered as a basic 10 person set.
The kit itself is made up of three soft medical bags; two for medical products, dressings, sutures, splints and bandages and the third for required medicines. All products are packed in colour code modular pouches for easy identification and storage. There is an option on a fifth bag, to bring the medical kit up to standard for 20 people.
A smaller bag is also provided within the kit to be used as an easy to carry ‘day bag’ with all the medical equipment required for minor injuries and first aid, as well as resuscitation and pain relief. Further products can be added to the day bag, if required with additional individual colour coded pouches.
PLEASE NOTE MEDICINES CAN ONLY BE SUPPLIED TO VESSELS WITH THE CORRECT MEDICAL & SHIP’S CERTIFICATES
Note to Editors:
F A B Medical in conjunction with Ocean Safety are delighted to announce that they have won the contract to supply medical supplies to the 2008 - 2009 Volvo Ocean Race starting in Alicante in October.
