Complete Marine Freight - WORK WITH THE BEST WHEN TIME IS CRITICAL
17/12/10

Complete Marine Freight are acknowledged as an important global supplier for time critical logistics for race boats and global events. Hold ups cannot even be contemplated whether through paperwork or missed connections.

Just recently Complete Marine Freight has shipped SY SiNGULARITY the 80’ mini maxi from Palma to St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. In Palma the boat’s cradle had to be shipped by barge alongside the transport ship, for Singularity then to be lifted straight onto her cradle on board. The team from Complete Marine Freight were on hand to supervise the lifting and tying down, for her journey across the Atlantic. Joining her on the ship was her 40’ container workshop, which was shipped on from St Thomas to Sint Maarten. Her cradle is now safely stored in St Thomas awaiting her return shipment in the New Year. Handling of the vessel is key and the experts from Complete Marine Freight are well versed to ensure safety of the delicate hull throughout the process.

Complete Marine Freight has also shipped the Corby 49, Cape Fling (previously Flirt) from Melbourne to Cape Town. Due to the limited amount of sailings, Cape Fling, had to be shipped on a container ship to Malaysia, where she transferred onto a RoRo vessel to Cape Town. The boat was loaded across the deck on five 40’ flat racks with her delicate rig, packed and loaded separately across one of the ship’s main bulkheads.

In the first four months after Complete Marine Freight opened their door for business in Palma, they shipped 29 boats, including the TP52s Artemis and Luna Rossa. Team Origin’s TP52 and her support containers were shipped direct from Valencia to the UK. Later this year, they shipped a Swan 46 to Singapore, a Bavaria 47 from Italy to China and 52’ Sea Ray from Valencia to Uruguay. Most recently, four Figaro solos were trucked overland from the UK, through blizzards and snow down to La Grande Motte in the South of France for winter training.

Global regatta management often has very tight deadlines to move regatta support equipment across the world. Complete Marine Freight is also a supplier and supporter of the Superyacht Cup events based from Palma, moving their equipment and sponsors’ shipments.
