Kayospruce has just introduced a brand new outdoor carpet in five colours, which is ideally suited to a marine or wet environment. The yarn is impervious to salt water and UV Stabilised, so it will not rot and has the added advantage of not being susceptible to mildew with its 100% man made nylon fibres.
This specialist carpet is designed to hold its colour fastness and not fade in the sun, has very high abrasion resistance and features a channelled rubber backing to repel moisture and allow water to run out from underneath, so it cannot become trapped between the carpet and its fixing. The carpet pile weight is 750 grams per square metre and it is available in pacific blue, biscuit, maroon, silver grey and navy and is sold by the metre at a 1.4 metre width.
This marine carpet is ideally suited for sundecks, or areas which are likely to become wet through use or weather, wet bars, swimming areas or even top decks. It can also be used as an interior carpet in power or sail boats for a more comfortable cruising finish.
