A STYLISH ANSWER TO INDOOR AND OUTDOOR FABRICS – SUNBRELLA SOLUTION DYED ACRYLIC
20/09/10

Having recently completed new luxury design projects, across some diverse market areas from superyachts to a Caribbean hideaway, Kayospruce is delighted to launch the new 2011 Sunbrella collection of interior and exterior fabrics.

Exquisite designs and textures form the basis of this new range and the exterior fabrics are all solution dyed and therefore less susceptible to fading or deterioration in the elements, at the same time providing a sun-protection factor of SPF 50+. Providing a wide selection of different fabric designs in this growing area of business, Kayospruce is now acknowledged as the leading distributor for the Sunbrella Furniture Fabrics Collection in the UK and Europe. They are now working more with interior designers and stylists for corporate work, hotels, homes and superyachts, as much of the range has flame resistant properties to meet the necessary requirements.

Functionality is key, and the Sunbrella exterior fabrics are designed to withstand the rigours of hot and cold climates. Further properties which are important are exceptional colour hold, even in a salt water environment and a large number of the fabrics provide breathability and are mildew resistant.

The soft furnishings side of the business has become increasingly in demand from these different markets, with hundreds of different styles and textures to choose from. Colour options and colourways in both the interior and exterior fabrics, range from bright combinations with bold textile designs, through to subtle complimentary styles. This ensures that the right combination can be reached from one supplier, for either a modern and stylistic approach or for the more traditional designs. Practical working fabrics such as vinyl or canvas are also available from Kayospruce and again come in a range of colours and technical specifications. Additionally, they can supply complimentary accessories for outdoor awnings, sun covers and biminis.

Kayospruce – maintaining the highest Eco standards

Kayospruce has introduced a viable and achievable Eco Policy to minimise their negative impact on the environment. This is a claim a number of companies adhere to, but not many take this quite so seriously and follow innovative ideas through to conclusion.

Firstly, they have taken very positive steps to reduce waste by collecting all the inner tubes from their customers’ fabric rolls for recycling with more fabric. In this way the tubes can be used many times over. Naturally, recycling bins also feature and Kayospruce actively encourages the ‘paper free’ office and the staff regularly use teleconferencing rather than travel to meet with foreign suppliers. All boxes in the warehouse are reused and any scrap paper is shredded for packing material.

Power consumption has been vastly reduced over the last 18 months, by using energy efficient systems and supported by the Carbon Trust, Kayospruce has been able to implement this extremely quickly – this is now being taken further and it is planned to use energy efficient heating over the coming Winter. One of the Kayospruce vehicles in the fleet, has now been replaced with an ‘Eco-friendly’ car.

A real water mill – yarn made by water power One of the major suppliers which Kayospruce has long connections with, is a family owned and run business in the Barcelona area of Spain. Where the yarn is spun, water power run by a water mill is used for electricity. This company is very important to the local area and creates many jobs for the nearby community in the hills.

Featuring a variety of colours, patterns, textures and finishes with practical solutions for the interior or exterior.
