New features from Seatrack for 2011 include an option for wireless display transfer from your PC to a tablet, iPad or an android phone. Seamless transition and the ability to view the same display in a number of ways make Seatrack the most versatile tactical and navigational software system on the market.

Optimum Routing now comes free with either the Racer or Grand Prix package until 16th January 2011 for the duration of the London Boat Show - £180 value including vat! A free GRIB reader is also included with all Seatrack packages, which provides the ability for the system to display forecast wind data in an overlay.

The Seatrack Optimum Routing package integrates predicted wind and tidal data, polar data and calculates the most efficient course on all points of sailing for each leg of the race, including the actual leg the boat is currently sailing. Cleverly, the system looks at thousands of options at each given time in the race, and narrows down the route to the optimum, clearly indicating changes of direction at different points on the leg, including the timing of a critical tack or gybe. Optimum Routing also takes into consideration tidal changes and local tidal effects and calculates constant updates for the future over the course entered. The PC also displays the rhumb line in a different colour, as a clear reference point for the navigator.
