Summer cruising on the South Coast of the UK can prove unpredictable in terms of weather and things to do. Solent Refit is based on Southampton Water on the western side and is offering the ideal short stay solution for visits to the Solent area.
Solent Refit is making short stay Summer berthing available for larger yachts, whether power or sail. There is direct access to berths at all states of the tide and the dockside can accommodate a number of larger yachts in deep water service berths. The facility can take yachts from 18m to 100m in overall length
Located right on the edge of the New Forest, facilities from many of the top hotels in the area are nearby for a storm bound crew – pamper days, sports facilities, horse riding, bike hire, Beaulieu Motor Museum – the list is endless. In addition, the city of Southampton is just a short ferry ride away across Southampton Water to the Town Quay, which is within easy reach of cinemas, shopping and waterfront bars and cafés.
On-site bulk bunkering can be arranged for visitors to Solent Refit and the yard has technical repair and maintenance teams to carry out emergency fixes or more long term refits; Yacht Project Associates, who manage the facility are happy to arrange or oversee any work as needed.
