Smartphone Apps
Our design wizards, Jim and Oriana, are hard at work on their next technical offering – smartphone Apps. This will be a fantastic way for clients to access your business. Options range from the basic website link or App to receive your news and offers direct, right through to an App offering quotes for your services or allowing purchases to be made directly from a phone.

Ben Joins the Team
Ben has joined us to work alongside David on marketing, copywriting, and press work. With a degree in English and publishing experience, Ben will write your newsletters, brochures, and website copy. Give him a call to discuss plans for a newsletter or press release, or to talk about updates on your website news section.

Database Building Service
We are pleased to announce our new Database Building Service – We can either start a new database for you or add to your existing one. In either case we will spend some time with you identifying important areas on which your marketing strategy should focus. This will include certain industries, businesses in similar positions to those clients you already have and any new areas you might wish to develop. Once we have defined the areas of your database that need development, you can choose how much time you want spent on this, this could be anything from one hour to one month. A good, up-to-date, organised database is the cornerstone of any firm’s marketing campaign.

Contact Ben with any enquiries or to discuss your database requirements. Database Building is charged at £15/hour.

HTML Newsletters
Strawberry Marketing’s design team has started using a more attractive and efficient emailing format; HTML. This means that instead of recipients having to open up an attached PDF file of whatever you are sending them, they receive the full document in their email window. Options are included to open the document in a web browser or download it as a PDF for those who want to. The advantage with this is that people are not given the option of seeing the newsletter or not; every recipient sees your logo, every recipient reads your company name, and everybody sees your main news. This has a number of advantages; your brand awareness increases whether people choose to read the whole newsletter or not, titles and images can catch the eye of somebody who might not have otherwise opened the attachment and an HTML email looks considerably more professional and modern.

Solent Shallows
Strawberry Marketing has launched an innovative online service, Solent Shallows, which offers yachtsmen detailed photographs of the many hazards around The Solent and The Isle of Wight.

This large collection of aerial shots, taken at spring low tide and labelled to show precise locations, can assist in your avoidance of the area’s many hazards.

Solent Shallows offers a great visual reference to existing charts, photographs can be selected by area and by hazard name, allowing the user to highlight possible dangers on their marine chart and then immediately bring up an image of the risk they are likely to face. This allows for a better understanding of the hazards themselves.

Regularly updated to keep abreast of sandbank development, this service is essential for anybody competing in the Round the Island Yacht Race or Cowes Week. Offering unrivalled knowledge of the course, Solent Shallows allows you to negotiate the Solent more precisely, using photographic markers to understand hazards, and allowing you to take full advantage of the fastest course.

A CD of high-resolution images is also available online at a cost of £7.50 including VAT and UK Postage.
