Portafix Spring/Summer Newsletter 2017

Portafix are delighted to announce another record year for sales. We have achieved consistent growth within our industry, striving to offer the highest customer service possible. Not only do we offer local and national deliveries, we are now regularly shipping around the world including Bosnia, Czechoslovakia, Malaysia and Slovenia. We have taken on additional staff and our fleet of vehicles continues to grow.

Managing Director Andy Emerson comments –
“This could not be achieved without the help and support of both our staff and customers. By working together we find a solution to service the customer’s needs and this has shown by achieving sales of over £5million.”

Although our main area of business is fixtures and fittings, we also supply a vast range of other products including:

– Moulded plastics
– Specially plated parts for aesthetic and special build purposes
– Gas struts
– Hinges
– Upholstery fittings and fixings
– Extensive range of bearings
– Power tools
– Loads of different sizes/types of springs

In addition, we can PAT test all your static and portable electrical equipment.

Kitting has become an area of increased growth for Portafix over the past year, due to a growing number of customers who have passed this function onto us rather than carry it out in-house. This has enabled staff to be utilised elsewhere within their business. At Portafix our kitting team can bag or box customer components to match parts lists and produce a high standard of kitting, ensuring quality and a quick turnaround. No kit is too large or too small; we work to your specification, providing labels, boxes and bags. Call Portafix now to discuss any kitting opportunities you may have and we will be happy to discuss your bespoke requirements.

Portafix were pleased to receive a kind gift from Basingstoke Town Colts Dragons U16’s Manager Richard Bond, as a thank you for providing the football team with a much needed defibrillator. Awareness around sudden cardiac arrests was heightened when former England Under-21 star Fabrice Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest in the Tottenham Hotspur versus Bolton Wanderers FA Cup tie a few years ago.

A study shows that defibrillation within three minutes can raise the chance of survival to 70 percent, and although we hope the equipment does not ever need to be used, we are proud to be able to assist in providing goods which will undoubtedly help save lives in the future.
